Nelson Jumping Group Spring Show proved a winner for all with top entries and excellent footing over the two days for the event, which was held at Marchwood Park in Motueka.

Sarah Ching and Grant Burnett designed for the Jumping rings.  One hundred and twenty horses competed across the grades in both showjumping and show hunter. The forecast weather bomb didn’t eventuate, much to the relief of riders and organisers alike.

Six started the Dunstan Horsefeeds Amateur Rider Series class with just two coming back for the jump-off where Tessa Silcock (Richmond) and TMS Vincenzo took the honours with a four-fault round. Stephanie Suppan (Christchurch) and Ngahiwi Blackjack ECPH was second on eight faults with Tessa also third aboard TMS Tulip.

Madeline Woods (Christchurch) and Playmaker won the Mainland Coachwork Junior Rider Series class with the only clear in the opening round. Peita Milne (Nelson) aboard Global PH Mylorde was second and Johanna Wylaars (Christchurch) on Blossom NZPH third.

Pieta also starred in the FMG Young Rider Series class, taking the win aboard Ngahiwi Warrior with  Georgina Dormer (Rangiora) taking the quinella in the Harrison Lane Pro Amateur Rider Series Class with Casanova NZPH and Bravados NZPH respectively.
