Yes, ESNZ has your coach level on file and you will still be able to register at this level provided you can prove you have completed some of the ongoing development (ie coaching, training).

ESNZ recognises coach’s competency and have a RCC system where you can skip levels and be assessed at what level best suits your needs. For more information on RCC: https://www.nzequestrian.org.nz/esnz/coaching/
Part of RCC (recognition of current competency) is also theory based and this is a good place to start. You can work from home, in your own time, and complete our workbook theory, which can then be marked by one of our Coach Educators, via email.
While there is no formal time limit on completion of each level, we recommend you try and complete them within two years, as workbook content may be updated from time to time.
The workbooks are writeable pdfs and are either sent out via USB stick (courier) or email (while in lockdown). There are individual workbooks for each section – Equine Management, Riding and Coaching and you work through each, completing the Activities on each module. Once you have completed a section (ie Equine Management Theory), you can have this marked by one of our Coach Educators. The National Sport Administrator will put you in touch with a CE, depending on your location.
No, you need to work through each level before progressing to the next.

Most of the course material is contained in the supplied workbooks but you will also need to purchase some textbooks – details can be found on our main Coach page of the website, with links on how you can purchase the books.
Workbooks start at $200 for the set of three, as an upfront cost, and marking costs are $100-$180 per workbook (three per level), which you pay after you complete each module or workbook.
