The Jumping Board continues to monitor the impact of COVID on the National Jumping and Show Hunter Series, and has met again this week to review this.  Changing levels across Waikato and Auckland, and the isolation of Northland, is impacting events throughout the North Island, and the restriction of 100 people in a gathering has impacted events in both South and North Islands. We are pleased to see this restriction has been lifted today which will be a game changer for many.  Refer to ESNZ Alert level Update

Our decision remains to allow shows to continue when and where they can, in the format they can.  This will continue to be closely monitored and should an inequality of opportunity develop the Board reserves the right to retrospectively apply a change to the Series results calculations.  Any changes will be communicated via social media channels and website.  Our very valued sponsors are also dealing with COVID level issues in their own businesses, so please continue your support for them during these tough times.

The HOY committee have reviewed HOY qualifying points for Show Hunter at LRHOY and advise these will remain at 20 points for now.  A further review will be made during November and the required points confirmed before entries open for LRHOY 2022.

The Board continues to support and encourage any event that chooses to run, and applauds those Area Committees stepping in with shows at short notice picking up the gaps being left by A&P shows.

We remind everyone of the importance of following all public health notices, event conditions and instructions from show organisers.  Competitors want to be out at events as soon as possible however we must also keep our sport and participants safe and well.
