Mainland Coachwork

Sponsors of the Mainland Coachwork Junior Rider Series

Decades of experience have given the team at Mainland Coachwork a wealth of experience when it comes to creating the perfect float or coach. The Ashburton-based company supplies its much-lauded products across New Zealand.

Proprietors Rodney Greaney and Paul Chapman have a dedicated and very passionate team who take a lot of pride in working alongside their customers to produce a unit that meets their specific wants and needs.

“We really do have something for everyone,” says office manager Lisa Greaney. “We’ve got everything from simple floats through to luxurious horse coaches. Everything we do is about exceeding expectations and it is all to an extremely high quality using the very best of New Zealand-sourced products.”

Between them, Rodney and Paul have more than 35 years’ experience in the coach-building trade – Paul from 15 years working for a local bus and motorhome repair business while Rodney, a qualified coach builder, was manufacturing replica D and E-type Jaguar racing cars before moving to buses and then horse trucks, coaches and floats.

For the past seven years the company has been a sponsor of jumping. “It has been a real privilege to watch many riders progress through the showjumping classes with many now a part of our Mainland family. We see our sponsorship of the junior series as our most direct way to give back to our customers.”

COVID has been challenging for the company, setting them behind on their production schedule, with delays in the arrival of parts. “We just hope to get to as many shows as COVID restrictions will allow,” says Lisa. “Everyone will be looking forward to some fresh air and sunshine, and our team can’t wait to have chats with new and old customers.”

It will be a chance for people to talk to the experts about custom-built coaches and floats, horse truck refurbishments, fit-outs and specialty products including corporate display trailers and field service toolboxes.

Mainland also do repairs, maintenance and alterations on all makes and models, along with panel fabrication and light engineering.
