Equestrian Sports NZ and Petplan announce equine and pet insurance partnership

Equestrian Sports NZ (ESNZ) and Petplan today announced their partnership which sees Petplan becoming ESNZ’s preferred equine and pet insurer.

“This partnership will see ESNZ members accessing comprehensive equine insurance at competitive prices, relieving financial stress at an emotional time when an animal is sick or injured,” said ESNZ’s CEO Julian Bowden. “It’s a nice present to give your favourite equine on their birthday.”

Petplan’s service is second to none; many happy Petplan people testify to their care and responsiveness which has seen Petplan awarded feefo’s 2021 Trusted Service Award.

“We know that horse owners are animal lovers, so our multi-pet discounts will deliver significant value to ESNZ members,” said Mark van As, Petplan’s Business Development Manager.

“Petplan’s Equine Insurance is uniquely structured to offer a range of options for horse owners; from basic cover for death due to illness and injury or loss by theft or straying. You can then add several options to the basic cover, such as veterinary cover, 3rd party liability, cover for your float or horse-drawn vehicles, and cover for your tack and saddlery. We also have cover for disposal and permanent loss of use. For older horses we have two veteran plans aimed at horses over the age of 19 and up to just before their 30th birthday said Mr van As.

Petplan pet insurance covers millions of pets around the globe. They are committed to the welfare and enjoyment of pets, giving owners of Dogs, Cats, and Horses peace of mind. Petplan is single-minded in that we only insure pets. Plus, you can earn Fly-Buys points while being a responsible pet owner.

Petplan is offering ESNZ members an exclusive discount on horse insurance. ESNZ encourages any member contemplating equine and/or pet insurance to contact the team at Petplan who will provide you with a tailored plan on 0800 255 426.
