Rosie (centre) handing out the rosettes

Congratulations to Rosie Edwards, our “remarkable” ESNZ Volunteer of the Month for March!!! Rosie joined the Eventing Wellington committee in 2016 and has been an organising committee representative on the Eventing board since July 2019.

“Rosie is such an asset for Eventing Wellington,” says Sonya Mason “Her ability to lead the team, manage the personalities and keep our stakeholders satisfied is remarkable.”

Her roles as Vice President and head of infrastructure for Eventing Wellington require a lot of extra time.

“She is always finding ways to persuade her family to spend personal time weed eating and mowing!” says Sonya. “Rosie is a highly respected member of the team and we are grateful for the time and skills she brings to the team of hard working volunteers.”

As organising committee representative, Rosie acts as a conduit between organising committees and the ESNZ Board, advocating organising committees’ views and opinions in Board discussions and keeping organising committee informed and engaged.

Rosie has led organising committee online workshops and through her attendance at many North Island events (Rosie’s daughter Charlotte competes up to 3* level) has shown support and gratitude to our valued organising committees on behalf of ESNZ Eventing – often delivering a box of chocolates to the event office!

ESNZ Volunteer of the Month receives a gift in recognition of their contribution; Rosie’s is on its way to her.
