Nicole White and LC Samson are the only combination in the POLi Payments in conjunction with Tavendale and Partners NZ National Premier Horse Championship who go into Sunday’s final round with no faults carried through from the Rounds B & C.

Nicole speaks highly of her “number one”, saying he is not only her favourite but her Mum’s favourite and only the second horse they have owned that will live out retirement with them.

It then gets tight between Kimberley Bird and Cera Cassina, and Samantha McIntosh and Takapoto Alaid de Chez Nous, who sit on 5.26 and 5.46 points respectively – each carrying through a rail from Round B. Olivia Robertson and Grandaire close out the field on 15.66, adding three rails to their total over Rounds B & C.

In the ESNZ in conjunction with Wilcox Perlas Potatoes NZ National Grand Prix Horse Championship, two fast and clear rides from Oliver Croucher and Waitangi Surf have assailed them into the lead heading into Sunday’s final, on a score of 5.20.

The leaders from Round A, Sophie Scott and Lakota, picked up two rails in Round B however hold onto second place, on a score of 8, while Kate Cavanagh and Wallflower moved up to third in the standings with clear jumping in Round B and one down in Round C to go into Sunday’s final on a score of 9.91.

In the Country TV in conjunction with Zealandia Horticulture NZ National Open Pony Championship, seven combinations returned for Round B, and of those only two jumped clear in Round C.

Keira Page and Redcliffs Colour Me In returned to the winners circle for the second day in a row, their very slick time of 61.08 was a convincing six seconds faster than the next.

Rounds B & C of the Graham McClintock June Cresswell NZ National 1.30m Horse Championship welcomed back a seasoned field of 15 combinations from across the country.

Overnight leaders Jeremy Whale and DSE Southern Star made the expensive mistake of missing the double, which saw them eliminated and out of contention for the June Cresswell Memorial and NZ National 1.30m Horse title.

Samantha Carrington and Double J Breeze On’s double-clear performance puts them at the top of the leaderboard on a score of 2.99 going into the final. Five of the 13 combinations jumped clear across the Round B & C tracks, and of those Emily Hayward and Centino, and Steffi Whittaker and Whimsical WDS, sit in second and third respectively. All three are within 0.74 points

Twenty-eight competitors lined up for Round B of the Wade Equine Coaches NZ National 1.20m Horse Championship. Jumping in reverse order, the pressure was on day one leaders Samantha Gillies and Socrates De La Ve Z to maintain a blemish-free scorecard and that they did. In the jump off (ROUND C), 10 combinations kept all the rails up, Emily Hayward and Valcheta being the fastest to do so and the only ones with a time sub-50 seconds.

The Championship classes take a break on Saturday and the age group classes and series instead take place.
