ESNZ Eventing is searching for an Event Convenor to lead the NZ3DE 2021. If you have a love for the sport, are a team player with great organisational skills and want to be part of this iconic event then we would like to hear from you.
Role:
The Event Convenor will:
- Form and lead an Organising Committee that will plan and implement the operational delivery of ESNZ Eventing’s season finale event.
- Develop the Event Schedule and Expenditure Budget in collusion with the Board Sub-committee.
- Not be required to source event funding by way of Sponsorship and Grants.
- Be a volunteer as the position attracts only a minor honorarium.
Responsible to:
ESNZ Eventing Board Subcommittee for NZ3DE Championships.
The objectives:
Stage a friendly event attracting a broad base of participants in our sport to turn out to compete, to volunteer, to spectate and to celebrate the pinnacle of New Zealand Eventing, while meeting the requirements of the FEI .
To cumulate the efforts of volunteers and officials in an enjoyable manner, harvesting the experience of long standers while encouraging newcomers into effective and sustainable delivery.
To progress the systems within the event to the benefit of those following in this role and others.
The Person:
We seek an individual with event management experience who enjoys a working in a volunteer team.
