Samantha Lissington and Ricker Ridge Sooty GNZ have placed seventh in the CCI4*-S eight and nine-year-old championship at the Burnham Market International Horse Trials this morning.

The black gelding, who is by Caretino and out of Quantum Flash (by Tristaking), added just 1.6 time to his dressage score of 28.9 penalty points to finish the competition on 30.5. The 44-strong competition was won by Yasmin Ingham (GNR) aboard Banzai du Loir on 22.3.

Jesse Campbell and Diachello finished their CCI4*-S on 59.1 penalty points after adding jump faults in the showjumping and time on the cross country. Ginny Thompson and Stars Align also added in the final two tests to finish on 71.3.

The class was won by Oliver Townend (GBR) aboard Andrew Nicholson’s former ride Cillnabradden Evo on 25.3. The horse will now be retired. The victory was Oliver’s 13th consecutive 4*-S win at Burnham Market. Just 37 combinations finished the event.

Izzy Taylor (GBR) and Monkeying Around held on to their lead in the CCI4*-L to take the win on 23.2 penalty points. Dan Jocelyn and Blackthorn Cruise also finished on their dressage score of 32.4 for 17th place with James Avery and Mr Sneezy adding four in the showjumping to finish on 35 in 19th. Hollie Swain and Solo XII added just time in the showjumping to finish the even on 39.1 in 34th place.
