The competition is heating up between husband and wife Tim and Jonelle Price in the CCI4*-L at the Lotto Strzegom Horse Trials in Poland.

Jonelle and her black mare Grappa Nera have moved from third to first after the dressage and cross country tests and remain on their dressage score of 30.5 penalty points. Japanese rider Yoshiaki Oiwa and Tullyoran Cruiser JRA were the only other clear and inside time combination in the 10-strong field and have moved from sixth to second on 33.8.

Jonelle picked up 6.4 time penalties aboard McClaren to end the day in third on 37.8 with Tim and Wesko in fourth place, having added time penalties to finish on 38.7.

Tim and Spartaco had a stop early in the course to add both jump and time penalties to move to eighth on 79.8. There was one retirement and one elimination in the cross country, leaving just eight in the field.

In the CCI4*-S, Tim and Falco had two stops to finish the competition on 95.4 penalty points in 24th spot. Ingrid Klimke (GER) took the quinella in the 31-strong class, winning aboard SAP Hale Bob OLD on 28.1 penalties, and placing second on SAP Asha P, one of just two combinations to come home clear and inside time.
