ESNZ Eventing is pleased to announce the appointment of Shannon Galloway to the Eventing Board.
This appointment is a result of the recent appointment round completed by the Eventing Board which also included the reappointment of Maree Burnett for a second term.
The Eventing Board searched for a Board member with sponsorship and marketing experience to lead the Sponsorship portfolio and invigorate the sponsorship landscape for the sport nationally. The appointment panel and the Board members believe Shannon has the professional experience, skills, connections, and sport knowledge required to do just that.
“I’m looking forward to working with the Board in the commercial space and seeing how we can grow our profile and opportunities for our sport” says Shannon.
Shannon is known to many ESNZ members through her participation in Eventing, competing very successfully through 3* level, and recently starting at 4* level at Land Rover Horse of the Year with her horse Day Walker. Shannon was the winner of the Amateur Rider series for two consecutive seasons 2017-18, and 2018-19. Shannon is also an active member of the Kihikihi Horse Trials committee. Through her professional career Shannon has worked in brand management, marketing, sponsorship and commercial management, all roles which have contributed to her knowledge and skill base in an area which are a key focus for the Eventing Board.
