Dressage NZ seeks feedback from the membership re the rules for downgrading horses and ponies and the conditions for consequent participation
The current rules can be found in Art 463 on p51 the Rule Book; https://www.nzequestrian.org.nz/esnz/rules-regulations/dressage-rules/ . In summary, horses /ponies may be downgraded to the grade at which the applicant rider has no more than 15pts, not lower than Level 2 unless the applicant rider has no grading points on any horse at any time. Then participation restrictions apply for twelve months for key events and some series
Feedback is requested on the basis of supporting athlete development and encouraging participation balanced against fairness
