New Zealand showjumpers Daniel Meech and Lily Tootill have both been in fine form at the CSI2* show on the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva in Spain.

Daniel picked up a slew of placings across the gold and silver tours. He and Favoriet HBC teamed up to win the Gold 1 1.30m class, heading home 28 other combinations. Favoriet HBC was also fifth in the 87-strong Gold 3 1.40m class which was won by Christoph Obernauer (AUT) aboard Clooney 57 who came home clear in 61.17 seconds. Daniel was also clear, stopping the clock at 63.47 seconds.

Aboard Dominick, Daniel placed fourth in the gold 4 1.45m class, coming home clear in 61.66 seconds. The 75-strong class was won by Tim Gredley (GBR) and Unex Garcon de Lui in 59.55 seconds.

Daniel was also in the money in the Gold 1 1.30m class with Faith 13, placing 12th with a double clear in 35.99 seconds. Lily Tootill and Ulysses NZPH were 15th in the 97-strong class with their double clear 36.28-second effort. Abdurakhmon Abdullaev (UZB) and For Fan took the win in 30.73.

Daniel and Faith 13 were 12th in the Gold 2 1.40m class with a clear 74.45-second effort. He and Cinca 3 were 23rd after picking up a single time penalty in their 84.17-second round. The 90-strong class was won by Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) aboard Khan Vd Kattevennen Z in 60.06 seconds.

Lily and Ulysses NZPH also placed ninth in the 1.45m Grand Prix, coming home double clear in 33.71 seconds. The 75-strong class was won by Constant van Paesschen (BEL) aboard Isidoor van de Helle in 31.46 seconds.
