Congratulations to Wendy Jeffery who is the ESNZ Volunteer of the Month for October 2019!
Wendy is a ‘super volunteer ‘and “amazing manager” from Dressage Wairarapa according to Ian Childs who nominated Wendy.
“Dressage Wairarapa has won the Sponsors Choice Award two years in a row and this is all due to Wendy’s amazing management!” says Ian. “Wendy is the chairperson and she will organise and set tasks for the team and then she manages us all and provides oversight.”
Wendy has also organised the regional and national competitions.
When awarding Dressage Wairarapa the sponsors’ award for hosting the North Island championships, sponsors’ representative Brian Hobson said that Dressage Wairarapa “look after their local sponsors really well”.
All our disciplines rely on the generosity of sponsors to ensure their continuing growth and success. Wairarapa Dressage has certainly set the bar high and maintains their standards in large part due to Wendy’s management.
Thank you so much Wendy, for your fantastic service to dressage, for the countless hours of work you do, your generosity and commitment to the sport at all levels and helping dressage to succeed and grow.
Our sport is in good hands with Wendy and our other wonderful volunteers like her who quietly go about the business of making things happen so smoothly. Next time you are so lucky to be on the receiving end of our volunteers’ generosity, please take a moment to thank them.
