The Ashburton Area have discovered a very worthy recipient of the Star Spotters Scholarship, the 18 year old, Ann Moriarty. Ann has competed in many Pony Club events, over many years, as well as some showhunter. Ashburton Area Rep, Zoe Shore explains, “Ann has recently purchased an older, capable showjumper and she is a very deserving recipient of this scholarship.”
Ann will be receiving a year’s ESNZ membership and registration for her horse, Puketea Kokomo. This generous contribution is all thanks to the Star Spotters Scholarship sponsor, New Zealand Performance Horses.
Ashburton have also created an amazing welcome pack for Ann and all the other nominees. It includes a link to the ESNZ website and relevant social media pages, the Show Date card, information about schedules and where to find them, advice on selecting classes, a brief overview of various class formats/articles, online entry systems, explanation of show fees, basic show etiquette and rules, invites to meetings, working bees and area group social functions.
