Bruce Goodin and his 2018 World Champs horse Backatorps Danny V have placed fourth in the CSI2* Grand Prix at Sommersted in Denmark. Thirty-five started the class with nine coming back for the jump-off where the top seven were all clear. Bruce and Danny stopped the clock at 39.4 seconds with winner Nikolaj Hein Ruus (DEN) and Crusador Z home in 38.82 seconds.

Miranda Harrington has been on the podium at the CSI2* Show in Kronenberg in The Netherlands. Aboard K2 Did IT, she placed second in the CSI2* two phase 1.35m class which attracted 59 entries. The Kiwi combo were double clear in 31.85 seconds with the winner, Maretin Reznicek (CZE) and Caecilia S home in 29.85 seconds. The top 16 were all double clear.

Miranda was also in the top 10 in the CSI2* two phase 1.40m class. She and Gravin A placed ninth out of 65 starters. Twenty-eight combinations were double clear with the winner Romain Potin (FRA) and Sex Appeal 111Z stopping the clock at 27.99 in the second round and Miranda coming home in 36.32 seconds.

Other New Zealanders to do well at national shows over the weekend include Daniel Meech who was second aboard Zamia 3 and sixth on Fine in the 1.45m class at Lobberich in Germany. Daniel also took out the Springprufung KI.M2* aboard Favoriet HBC, placing 11th with Dominick 9 in the same class.

Tom Tarver who with Popeye was third in the 1.50m speed class at Elmloher Reitertage (GER) with his fiancé Lucia Voss second in the 1.35m speed class.

Emily Hayward and California ECPH took out the Finch Farm New Comer Championship at the Pryde’s EasiFeed Gatton World Cup Show.
