Two Kiwis have finished in the top seven in the CCI4*-L at the Bramham International Horse trials in the UK overnight.

Lucy Jackson and Superstition moved up three places for fifth place while Andrew Nicholson aboard As Is jumped four to place seventh. The showjumping caused a little bit of a shuffle around in the lower half of the top 10. Kitty King (GBR) and Vendredi Biats held on to win on 27.2 despite adding .4 time penalties. Gemma Tattersall (GBR) and Jalapeno III added four to their tally but again, held on to their spot for second on 30.9 with third-placed Selina Milnes adding 1.2 to finish on 31.6.

Lucy and her 10-year-old bay gelding – “the incredible little brown pony Stinky” – continued their clean run to finish on their 33 penalty point dressage score in their first run at this level. Andrew and the eight-year-old As Is who were also on debut at this level, added .4 for time in the final phase to finish on 35 penalty points.

James Avery and Mr Sneezy placed 15th with their 46.7 penalty point effort. Forty-two of the original 63 entries completed the competition.
