Tim Price has held on to his second place aboard Ascona M in the Longines CCI5*-L at the end of the dressage in German overnight and handy with his other mount in the CCI4*-S.

Kazuma Tomoto (JAP) and Brookpark Vikenti remain at the front of the 33-strong field in the CCI5*-L, on 25.2 penalty points with Tim in second on 25.8 and Frances Thieriot Stutes (USA) and Chatwin delighted to be in third on debut at this level on 28.8.

In the CCI4*-S German Championship, Tim and Falco scored 30.3 penalty points to sit in 11th spot amongst the 53 entries. “I am very pleased with Falco,” said Tim. “For an inexperienced horse at that level he was really good – he just lacks a bit of establishment. It was a hotly-contested field of every German man and his dog! I am looking forward to the next couple of days to get going with some jumping.”

Julia Krajewski (GER) and Samourai du Thot at the top of the leaderboard on 24.7 penalty points.

All eyes now turn to the Mike Etherington-Smith-designed cross country overnight.
