Samantha McIntosh and her team have been in consistent form at the Bonheiden CSI3* in Belgium. She and her 2018 World Equestrian Games mount Check In 2 placed fifth in the CSI3* Grand Prix overnight.

Fifty-eight started the class with just eight coming back for the jump-off where Sam and the stallion picked up four penalties in their 35.19 second round. The class was won by Thibeau Spits (BEL) aboard Bellissimo Z who were double clear in 32.4.

Sam also notched a win aboard James S in the two phase 1.40m class which attracted 42 combinations. The Kiwi duo were double clear in 30.49 seconds, with runner up Yifan Zhang (CHN) and Exception also all clear in 32.51.

Earlier in the show Sam picked up a seventh in the CSI3* 1.35m two phase aboard Check In 2. The 49-strong class was won by Wout-Jan van der Schans (NED) aboard Graniet ES. Sam and Disco Z placed seventh in the CSI3* 1.40m two phase which was won by Roy Hanlon (BEL) aboard Arcano Z

In the Czech Republic at the CSI3*-W Olomouc, Richard Gardner and Cromwell 32 were just in the money in the CSI3*-W 1.40m with their 10th place finish. Fifty-seven started the class which was won by Roberto Turchetto (ITA) and Adare. Richard and Cromwell 32 were also 12th in the 1.45m Gold Tour class which was won by Fabio Brotto (ITA) and Vaniglia Delle Roane.
