Equestrian Sports New Zealand (ESNZ) is seeking a Complaints Review Officer with knowledge of sport and the laws of New Zealand.

ESNZ is the national sporting organisation that oversees a large portion of all equestrian sport in New Zealand including its five main disciplines:  Jumping, Dressage, Endurance, Eventing and Para-Equestrian.  ESNZ maintains the relationship with the international body, the Federation Equestrian Internationale (FEI), and plays its role in selecting national and international teams in all disciplines alongside the NZOC, High Performance Sport NZ and its own High Performance team.

Our Complaints Review Officer needs to have knowledge of sport, the laws of New Zealand and the principles of natural justice.  You will also need to be familiar with the Legal Section of our General Regulations, which has just finished being reviewed, hence the creation of this role.

You will be responsible for any out of competition complaints received, where they then may be dismissed, cautioned or referred to the Judicial Committee for further review.

The position will be predominantly honorary but specific remuneration for certain aspects will be discussed with candidates.  The position is based from home/office of the CRO.
