A draft of proposed changes to the ESNZ Disciplinary system are now public for anyone to comment on and send to us https://www.nzequestrian.org.nz/esnz/rules-regulations/esnz-rules/ There are some significant changes proposed in how we deal with complaints in general. These proposals are outlined in the document called “Summary of changes”.

The ESNZ Disciplinary system (Chapter 9 of the ESNZ General Regulations) has been under review for many years and in 2018 we spent a great deal of time discussing this, how it could work better and what changes needed to be made to ensure consistency, fairness and equity and a clearer more responsive system for all of our members.

All of the proposed changes are open for comment, please tell us if you think it is not right, if you would like some other issues considered, if you want to make any suggestions or have ideas that are not represented in these documents.

From here, the discipline boards will provide feedback by the end of February 2019 and then the ESNZ Technical Committee will review the changes in March. These can then be ratified by the ESNZ board and will come into play for the 2019-20 season. This should give disciplines enough time to make any changes to their discipline rules.

We look forward to hearing from you, please send your comments to [email protected] by 25 January 2019.
