The Youth Olympic Games are about to kick off in real time for showjumper Briar Burnett-Grant who is one of 61 athletes in Buenos Aires. With the opening ceremony now behind them, the sport is underway tomorrow at 1400 hours (Argentinian time) with the team competition. Briar is second to go for her Australasian team which includes Mohammed Alqashouti (Qatar), Madeline Sinderberry (Australia), Arshia Najafinia (Iran), Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi (UAE) and Briar.
There are six teams in all.
Sister and trainer Hannah says her build-up aboard Milagro Maximo – Maximus to his mates – is going well.
