Sharn Wordley and Sam McIntosh have both notched some solid performances at high-ranking shows over the weekend.

Sharn, competing at the CSI5* at Crete in the United States, picked up a number of placings. He and Barnetta were fourth in the 71-strong $35,000 Welcome class, which was won by Mattias Tromp aboard Eyecatcher. He was third with his WEG horse Casper and sixth with his reserve Barnetta in the $35,000 Classic, which attracted 57 entries and was won by Scott Keach on Fedor.

And with Gatsby he was 10th in the $10,000 1.35m Jumper Classic. Emanuel Andrade and Tupac Ven de Vrombautshoeve Z headed home the 47 strong class.

In France, at the CSI4* in Valence, Sam McIntosh and her WEG horse Check In 2 were just in the money in the CSI4* 1.45m, placing 12th. The class was won by Harold Boisse (FRA) and T’obetty du Domaine who were all clear in 62.56 seconds, with Sam also leaving everything up in 77.61.

Sam and Estina teamed up to place fourth in the CSI4* 1.45m coming home clear in 65.26 seconds. Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) and Carlotta took the win in the 42-strong class in 61.06 seconds. Sam and Alaid de Chez Nous finished just in the money in the CSI2* 1.40m class with their 41.38 second effort. Jessica Mendoza (GBR) and Horst van de Midpelaere won in 31.91.
