The Kiwis are handy in a couple of classes at the Land Rover Blair Castle International Horse Trials in Scotland.

James Avery and Seaflower have held on to their lead in the 83-strong CCI1* with their 25.2 penalty point effort with Hannah Norvill and Magic Roundabout IV sitting in eighth in the CCI2* on 33.1.

The CIC3* is an Oliver Townend show – he sits in first, second, third and sixth at the end of the dressage, leading, perhaps somewhat appropriately, aboard Cooley Master Class on a score of 24.4. James and Mr Sneezy are the only New Zealanders in the class, and sit in 19th spot on 35.

The CCI3* completed their dressage the day before, with Tim Price and Pats Jester in third on 28.5 and wife Jonelle in eighth on Cooley Showtime with 34.5 and James aboard Optimus Prime ninth equal on 34.7.

This evening Tim Price aboard Wesko and Jonelle aboard Cloud Dancer II will compete on the 23-strong card in the CIC3* Event Rider Masters class – the finale for the series.
