Daniel Meech and Fine were the sole kiwi combination to line up in the CSIO5* Longines Grand Prix of Switzerland in St Gallen overnight.

The 1.60m course was big and proved to be challenging with the class winner Luciana Diniz (Portugal) and Fit for Fun 13 being the only combination to finish the two round competition on zero penalties.

Meech and Fine had a rail down in the first round, and picked up a single time fault to finish with five penalties. They did not come back for the second round.

The only other class held overnight was the Prize Liebherr International AG 1.45m which featured three Kiwis – Bruce Goodin and Blackatorps Danny finished in 31st after having one rail down, while Richard Gardner and Ulysse D’En Haut completed with 13 penalties. Sam McIntosh and Check In 2 elected to retire a head of Sunday’s Nations Cup.

Lisa Cubitt was on great form today at the CSI2* Show in Morsele. Cubitt and RLE Legoland placed third in the 1.4m after their first Nations Cup in Rome last weekend.
