Dan Jocelyn and Grovine de Reve have placed second in a CIC3* class at the Chatsworth International Horse Trials in the UK overnight. The Kiwi combo scored 32.7 penalty points in their dressage, and added 12 time faults to finish on 44.7. Oliver Townend and Ulises won the class with a score of 37.3.

“I am thrilled with Grovine de Reve this weekend, he has been consistent in all three phases and felt fantastic over the cross country” said Dan.

Blyth Tait and Dassett Courage were the best of the Kiwis in the cash-rich Event Rider Masters class, finishing in 11th place on 44 penalty points. Piggy French (GBR) and Quarrycrest Echo led the field home with a score of 27.3.

Tim Price and Xavier Faer were 13th on 46.3, Sir Mark Todd and McClaren 15th on 47.2 and Andrew Nicholson aboard Swallow Springs 17th on 48.4. Nicholson also picked up an 11th in another CIC3* class.

Fellow mum and freshly crowned 2018 Badminton CCI 4 Star Champion, Jonelle Price, made it 50 CIC3 Star completions since 2008 today and maintained her perfect 11/11 (100%) cross country jumping record with FAERIE DIANIMO
