ESNZ Jumping is the largest discipline in ESNZ, covering more than 60% of the membership and administering more than 150 events per annum. Jumping is at a pivotal point in its development in NZ and needs a new focus with a dedicated Jumping Manager and administration support clearly defined and implemented.

As a result of a restructure ESNZ Jumping is now calling for applications for a Jumping Manager and a Jumping administrator. These roles are crucial to the ongoing development of the sport and are designed to provide more focus on proactive initiatives.

JUMPING MANAGER

The Jumping Manager’s role is a strategic role, full time, and preferably based in Wellington. The successful applicant will need to have clear and demonstrated experience in strategy development and implementation at a high level.

An understanding of the intricacies of jumping is preferred but not essential. This role requires regular travel to events and a passion for developing partnerships and relationships with sponsors, area committees, private show providers and partners. Proven success in business management, relationship management, sponsorship and partnership programmes is essential.

The successful applicant will be a clear leader for Jumping and will be responsible for financial performance, reporting and communicating with members, supporting and maintaining good communication with the Jumping board and ensuring that all work streams are delivered on time and within budget.

JUMPING ADMINISTRATOR

This is a significant role in the jumping team supporting the Jumping Manager and the Jumping Board.  This position is based in Wellington in the ESNZ national office full time. This role would suit someone who likes to be busy, and is able to manage a number of tasks all at the same time. There is a vast array of administrative tasks to be completed, no day is ever the same and there is a not a time when there isn’t something to be done.

A key aspect of this role is supporting Organising Committees, Show Secretaries and Area Delegates to deliver their events and to ensure there is clear understanding of the rules, the opportunities for events and how ESNZ can help them. The role is also responsible for supporting the Board and its sub-committees, developing clear solutions to regular processes and system changes as required, points recording for jumping series, technical support and assisting with Facebook promotion and website maintenance for jumping.

Great computer skills, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word are required for this role as well as a good understanding of social media platforms. Clear and concise writing and attention to detail will be expected.
